The Wolf Pack finished last weekend with a snag as the Providence Bruins pulled out a 2-0 victory on Sunday evening.  Hartford went 1-2 last weekend, stepping back further in the playoff race.  Brandon Halverson soaks the loss in net, stopping 36 of 38 shots.

Game Recap

The Bruins had both goals in the first period.  The Bruins were ready to play, shooting and giving the Pack difficulty.  Hartford had little opportunities early on.  Providence scored 5:13 in, and again at 17:04.  Not much was going on the Pack.  Shots favor the Bruins 17-6 in the first.

The second and third periods were scoreless.  The Pack were pushing in the second, and the opposite happened in the third.  Both clubs were exchanging opportunities.  However, the Pack had limited chances and the Bruins had better quality.  In addition, the Pack were undisciplined.  After all said and done, the Pack were shutout 2-0.

Final Thoughts

The Pack were gassed after the three in three.  The club was struggling defensively as well.  Hartford will have to shake off the loss and get back at it next weekend.
