The Wolf Pack bounced back from Friday’s loss in stellar fashion on Saturday night.  Hartford pulled out a 3-1 victory against the Bruins to finish the home at home series against Providence.  Steven Fogarty, Vinni Lettieri, and Ryan Gropp recorded goals.  Alexandar Georgiev gets the win in net, stopping 16 of 17 shots.  The club played a strong game.

Game Recap

The club was ready to play.  The Pack were pouring it on offensively.  The Pack generated multiple quality chances.  At 12:35, Steven Fogarty gave Hartford a 1-0 lead on a forced turnover and breakaway.  His goal was unassisted and short-handed.  Hartford continued to pepper Providence’s goalie.  At 18:41, Vinni Lettieri converted on a solid opportunity to give Hartford a 2-0 lead.  Cole Schneider and Filip Chytil recorded the assists.  Shots favor Hartford 13-5.

Providence re-adjusted their strategy and gave Hartford issues.  At 1:55 the Bruins converted an opportunity.  The Wolf Pack answered back at 4:33 as Ryan Gropp converted off the rebound to give Hartford a 3-1 lead.  Scott Kosmachuk recordded the lone assist.  The rest of the frame was scoreless.  The defense on both clubs were better.  Both clubs were playing smart.  Shots in the second favored Providence 7-4.  Shots after two periods favor Hartford 17-12.

The third was scoreless.  Both clubs were playing defensively.  Both goalies were tested in moments.  Both clubs had surges briefly in the frame as well.  After all said and done, Hartford wins 3-1.  Shots favor Hartford 23-17.

Final Thoughts

Hartford played a strong sixty minute effort game against Providence after losing to them on Friday.  They bounce back well.  Another two points for the club.  All is well.
